About the Jury & Honorary Consultants
Policies for Appointing Jury Members:
- As with Canada Council for the Arts, whenever possible the Jury for a given award, in any given medium, will be selected first from artists of repute working within that medium.
- Jurors will be considered secondly from reputable shortlists of art educators; art historians; curators; and artists of similar media.
- The Juror must be at legal arms length from any activity involving awards with charitable funding, according to Revenue Canada.
Engaging Honorary Consultants:
- Creation Community values the wisdom of many counsellors.
- Honorary Consultants provide insight and care for the mission undertaken by the governing bodies of Creation Community.
- The Honorary Consultants in a sense offer extended accountability, encouragement, and a rare form of friendship to the mission leaders.
