God's gift had a dual quality: to do and to teach.
God's purpose was very simple: he wanted humans to express God's glory and also his delight in beauty, as an aid to worship in the sanctuary.
Working with sculpted gold, precious jewels and woven fibres (all freely donated by grateful Israelites,) the artists follow God's designs as he gave them to Moses on Mount Sinai.
The menorah design, a seven branched candle stick, came from the mind of our Maker on Mount Sinai!
Amongst the tribes of Israel, God appoints the Levites to carry the responsibility and burden for the portable temple around the desert for forty years. Finally, after the time of Kind David, the ark finds its resting place inside Solomon's golden temple.
